Hello there — I'm Joseph Zakrzewski.
I'm a strategic communicator, broadcaster, and creative leader with a passion for storytelling that connects people to purpose. For nearly two decades, I’ve helped organizations in aerospace, professional sports, and entertainment craft compelling narratives, build meaningful relationships, and deliver impactful messages across a multitude of platforms.
Today, I’m proud to serve as a Public Affairs Officer at NASA, supporting the International Space Station Program, Commercial Crew Program, and NASA’s expanding efforts in low Earth orbit commercialization. Whether providing live commentary on NASA TV and NASA+, leading public affairs campaigns, or designing immersive exhibits and expansive community outreach, I thrive at the intersection of communication, innovation, and audience engagement, earning multiple Agency awards and recognitions.
Previously, I directed communications, digital media, and content for over 14 years in professional sports in the National Hockey League, American Hockey League and ECHL, earning national recognition including the James H. Ellery Award for outstanding media coverage, the AHL Award of Excellence for Community Relations Award, and numerous Broadcaster of the Year and Media Relations of the Year awards. From the ice rink to Mission Control, I bring energy, clarity, and creativity to every message and moment.
As a proud Houstonian and graduate of Sam Houston State University, I’m committed to community, connection, and championing stories that inspire. Thanks for stopping by — I look forward to connecting with you.
